🔍 Plot / Storyline (Season 4)

Season 4 ramps up the stakes compared to prior seasons, introducing election politics and sharper rivalries in the village of Phulera.

Here are the main story arcs and conflicts:

Election between Manju Devi vs Kranti Devi: The central conflict is the contest for Pradhan (village head). The “Team Manju Devi vs Team Kranti Devi” rivalry becomes the season’s driving tension.

Aftermath of past events: The season continues dealing with fallout from Season 3, including a court case, a shooting incident, and tensions stirred by local powerbrokers (MLA etc.).

Political manoeuvres: Both sides engage in public campaigning, employing sympathy plays, targeted antagonism, and maneuvers to sway villagers.

Character dilemmas & alignment shifts: Loyalties are tested, alliances shift, and some characters face moral dilemmas or internal conflict.

Outcome / Twist: In a twist, Kranti Devi emerges as the surprising winner of the election, defeating Manju Devi.

Emotional & thematic threads: Beyond politics, the season explores identity, public service vs ego, the cost of power, and how governance (or its failures) impact a small community.

The episodes also carry titles and subplots tied to these themes—e.g. “Case-Mukadma”, “Zakhm”, “Vachan”, “Shakti Pradarshan”, “Ashirvaad” etc.

🧍 Characters & Cast

Here’s a refresher on the key characters in Season 4, who plays them, and their roles / arcs:

Character Actor Role / Arc in Season 4

Abhishek Tripathi (Sachiv Ji) Jitendra Kumar The Gram Panchayat Secretary. Originally an engineering graduate who took this rural job due to lack of other opportunities. In Season 4, he’s deeply enmeshed in election politics, handling both administrative pressures and personal loyalties.
Manju Devi Dubey Neena Gupta The sitting Pradhan (village head). Although she is the formal head, her husband Brij Bhushan often exerts influence. This season pits her directly against Kranti Devi in a pitched battle for control.
Brij Bhushan Dubey (Pradhanji / Pradhan Pati) Raghubir Yadav Manju Devi’s husband, often called “Pradhanji.” Though not the official head, he plays a major role in decision-making, campaign strategy, and public appearances.
Vikas (Sachiv Sahayak / Office Assistant) Chandan Roy The assistant in the panchayat office. In Season 4, he’s under strain from political pressure and personal challenges.
Prahlad Pandey Faisal Malik A villager with influence, usually supportive of the Pradhan’s camp. In Season 4, he continues to be a close associate and mediator.
Rinki Sanvikaa (Sanvikaa Pooja Singh) Daughter of Manju Devi and Brij Bhushan. Her relationship with Abhishek is a softer subplot in parallel to the political storyline.
Bhushan (Banrakas / Villager) Durgesh Kumar A louder, antagonistic villager who often opposes the Panchayat decisions. In Season 4, he becomes more actively political and becomes a rival in the election conflict.
Kranti Devi Sunita Rajwar A new or more assertive candidate challenging Manju Devi. She eventually wins the election in Season 4.
Chandra Kishore Singh (MLA) Pankaj Jha A politician from higher up, who influences village politics and backs one of the factions.
Other / Supporting Ashok Pathak, Amit Kumar Maurya, etc. Minor roles, political aides, villagers, etc.

⚠️ Things to Note / Critiques & Observations

Some viewers feel the political turn took away from the charm of simpler rural episodes. The slice-of-life feel is less pronounced than in earlier seasons.

Character arcs are more dramatic, and some characters shift in ways that seem forced or contradictory to earlier traits.

The election result (with Kranti Devi winning) surprised many, and sparked debate about whether the narrative favored a more realistic, messy political ending rather than a “heroic” victory for the incumbents.

Episode pacing, especially in mid-season, has been criticized as slow or stretched.

The acting and performances remain strong — especially in emotional and confrontational scenes — which many consider a saving grace.
